THE FLOW STATE

It's what athletes call being "in the zone," where we're completely immersed in an activity with high level focus and it feels like everything working out perfectly, moment by moment. Flow is the optimal state of consciousness for peak performance. Whether you're an athlete, entrepreneur, musician or artist, it's in states of flow that you will feel and perform your best.

BRAINWAVES

At the root of all our thoughts, emotions and behaviours is the communication between neurons within our brains. Brainwaves are produced by synchronised electrical pulses from masses of neurons communicating with each other. To enter Flow, specific brainwaves must be present - that's why it's important.

 

We have five different brainwaves and each frequency has specific characteristics representing  levels of brain activity and a unique state of consciousness.

The 'Flow Zone' sits around the border of Alpha and Theta. It's also when theta waves are being produced that Gamma waves show up. With heightened awareness, speed of insights and creativity, this is the perfect set up for optimal human performance.
